| Our latest refinement of the original ShockWave™. It is typically used in an independent front suspension application. It can also be used in some independent rear suspension applications. The ShockWave™ v3.0 uses a double convoluted airspring bellow to achieve the load capacity required for these installations. |
The 7000 series was developed in 2003 to address lighter weight vehicles with confined space for installation. Its 4" diameter allows placement in a smaller space. The softer spring rate and load capacity offer an even better ride for lighter weight vehicles. |
The 8000 series was introduced in 2000 to accommodate the customers who wanted ShockWaves™ for the rear of their vehicle as well as the front. The key difference of the ShockWave 8000™ is the tapered sleeve airspring bellows. This allows a softer spring rate, longer travel, and a lower load capacity that is more appropriate for a rear installation. |
| Recommended Applications: IFS and/or IRS installations on vehicles weighing 1500-2500 lbs. per axle. NOT recommended for solid axle rear applications..not enough travel, too much load capacity. |
Recommended Applications: Solid rear axle installations on vehicles weighing 1500 lbs. or less on the rear axle. Also as a supplement to a leafspring rear suspension. NOT recommended for IRS or IFS installations...not enough load capacity. |
Recommended Applications: Rear installations on a solid rear axle where rear vehicle weight is 1500-2400 lbs. IRS installations on vehicles weighing 1500 lbs. or less per axle. Not recommended for IFS installations...not enough load capacity. |
