Hi there,
I have aquired a 62 lincoln that was mildly customized in the mid 80' s. The vehicle was lowered considerably (two inches clearance). There is the old style adjustable airshocks on back (i have adjustable pressure regulator mounted under my dash and a small vacuum driven pump under the hood). I think the front springs were replaced with shorter ones and the back has lowering blocks. It looks REALLY good lowered, but its also a real hassle.
To make the car more drivable, I would like to have bags up front and back. The car bottoms out on almost every driveway (thank god for the skid plate) and can' t even make it into many. I don' t need to hop the car or lay it all the way down, just raise/lower it about 3 inches so I can get around. I would like an easy to install solution since I' m ok with a wrench, but can' t weld or fabricate.
I saw there is a Shockwave 3.0 application for 61-65 thunderbirds...is there any way to tell if that would work on my Lincoln?
How about other solutions? any suggestions?
Thanks!
PS I' m in San Diego, if anybody knows a shop that does good work for a reasonable price, that may be usefull too. A friend told me it would probably be about $5k to have a shop bag my car...that is too much for me.
