Valve placement

I just ordered my setup and have a question about where to mount the BigReds. Is it true that if you mount them seperately that you will have a faster response time? Does anyone have any experience with it? The guys doing the install say it' s not much different. What' s the advantages/disadvantages of seperate vs manifold.

My friend runs his valves 4 in a manifold & then the 4 for dumping with in a foot from the air bag... haveing the valves closer to the bag will help some..... but not sure if it will be the difference between night 7 day
