I was just wondering how necessary it is to run an air filter or water trap on a car suspension setup? If it is recommended, where would it go? Between tanks (I have three 3-gallons), before the bags/cylinders, after the compressors? Anybody have any advice on this?

Between compressor and tank is the best place to put one. The type of valve you are running will determine whether or not you need one. We use what is called a bubble tight valve. These valves are leak free and not affected by moisture.

I' m running SMC 1/2" valves. They say they' re rated for air and water, I don' t know if they' re " bubble tight" . Do I need a filter? What happenes if I don' t run one?

Thanks for the info, I appreciate the help. ;) [8D]

I not sure you might want to contact a SMC Dealer on that one.
