I have a 1966 lincoln and am new to the whole suspension scene. (1st project). I want to drop my car on the ground when I park and have a smooth lowered ride on the go.
What do I need as fars as products, and what mechanics would probably need to be done? Do you make a kit especially for that make/year?
Thanks
Brady

Ok Brady,
The rear is really simple, all you have to do is remove all the leaf but 2. I have a bag and bracket kit that bolt on between the frame and leafs. That is called our AirOver Leafs system, it runs about 275.00. The best way to do the rear would be to 4 link it, but being you first kit you might want to keep it simple.
For the front I don' t have a kit specific for the Lincoln, but one of our universal kit would work fine. It only requires minor fabrication and welding. Cost will run around $400.
All thats left is to pick out a compressor kit. I would use a 4 way on that car, like the ARC4000 RidePro kit. It will give you about a 6 sec. rise time. If you want something faster step up to the Big Reds.

Thank you for the help! If I were to do the 4 link system, what do you suggest? I have some savvy friends I can recruit for the install. How much lower do you think I will be with the bolt on? How much for the 4-link?

The 4 link won' t really get you any lower than a leaf setup will. The advantage of the 4 link is better ride quality. Also you can lose some lateral axle control with the leaf setup. One thing that could hinder how low the car will go is the distance between the axle and the frame. You might need a notch. Our Triangulated 4 link will be the best fit on that car. $699 for that kit.
