I am building a 64 Impala with 500 hp and 650 hp on nos. I am running 20x8 in front and 20x10 in the rear with a factory style 4 link setup made with box and tubes on a ford 9" rearend, turbo 400 tranny, front and rear sway bars, and stock front suspension. I have already powder coated all my front suspension and rear suspension so I dont want any welding, is this possible with an air bag setup? I want about 5-6" of travel and superb handeling, a 4 way setup, no air lines running into car (digital guages), 4 seconds rise time, 1 large tank (maybe 3-5 gal.), and a good compressor, and all the parts needed to install. What am I looking at for price and could you please include part #' s.
Thank you

On the rear setup, I have a kit for the the stock suspension, will it work? Are you using the stock springs or coilovers
On the front, you will have to weld the upper shock bracket to the frame.

I am using a stock style custom made rear suspension it mounts to the factory frame locations but it is a custom 4 link from there. Where do the " shockwave" bags mount on my car? Do I still run a shock in the factory location? Wont that bag that has a bag around a billet shock work in the front with out having to butcher my tube A-arms and weld on brackets? What kind of $$ and part #' s?

The Shockwave up front doesn' t work very well on that car, it just doesn' t get enough travel. I would use the CoolRide system.
On the rear you could probably use a set of Shockwaves, but you would might have to make some custom mounts. Some pictures of the rear would help alot. If you have a digital camera send some to me. www.darren@ridetech.com

Is the cool ride a bag and you mount the shock on the side of the A-arm? How much travel does the shockwave get? The regular bags would work on the rear because the shock is located in a different spot. The springs come off the center of the rear trailing arms and the shocks come off the brackets on the rear end so the rear should be fairly easy. The front is going to be the challenge because I have a show car with allot of custom parts and I cant just weld an ugly shock and bracket to the side of my contoured, reinforced, smoothed, and coated A-Arms and my frame is also finished. There is a guy that works for Air Ride with a 63 Impala maybe he can shed some light on this situation because 63 has the same frame and suspension. I want to do it right the first time as I have done on all the other fine details of this car and I don' t want to regret doing something like weld a shock to the side of the frame and A-Arm.
Thank you for the help

To use the Shockwave you also must do alot of trimming on the outer spring pocket. To use the CoolRide you can bolt the lower shock bracket to the lower control arm. Also you could modify the upper shock mount to make it bolt on as well.
