This doesn' t make much sense to me, but tech support says I can' t use the roadGRATER on a blazer. Why is this? The kit sounds like a good one and I would think they' d like to sink a couple thousand of my dollars into their pockets. Anyone have this kit and do you think it' ll work on the blazer? Or has anyone put it on the Blazer? If it won' t work, I' d like to find a kit that will. [Thanks]

Your best bet on the Blazer is to use our weld on Triangulated 4 link. Although it will require moving the gas tank if it is in front of the axle.

Hey there! I' m the one you wanna talk to about the RoadGrater system.....cuz I have it on my ' 98 S10:D. Here' s the deal, you can' t use it on a Blazer due to the fact that you have to cut out the bed on the pickups....it simply would not fit unless you kissed your interior goodbye and most of the truck with it. If you would like to see my installation process you can check out my website. Go to www.sickcustoms.net click on " member rides" and then " Dan Cardinal" and go into the projects section. you' ll find it. Another thing, when installing you have to remove the bed[:@].....you don' t have one so.....ya know. not tryin to be sarcastic, just wanna help. hope i answered your quesiton:D.

I dont agree with that reply at all. I would think the reason why the Roadgrator wouldnt work on the Blazer is because its a different truck! The frame is completely different, and it doesnt even have a gas tank crossmember in the same place.

Wont fit because you cant take the body off? All you need to do is take a few measurements and cut the floor out, same as any other step notch on a Blazer! Kiss your interior goodbye? Its the only way to get a Blazer to lay out..just weld a cover over the hole and youre done.

Aren' t the frames the same? Not on the newer ones I know that. But the older blazers, between like 82 and 90? not to sure.

and what about the hole in the floor you have to cut out? aren' t the seats really close to being over the rear axle?? Not sure but don' t hold it against me. I have an S10 for god' s sake. anywho....the point is, it won' t fit. ;)

the frames are not the same from any s10 to any blazer....
i have a 96 and also an 85 and have done many various s10' s
as far as keeping your interior the best option is the parallel 4 link.....just be sure to leave the panhard bar as long as possible to prevent side to side movement throughout suspension travel.
with this set up it is possible to lay out on 20' s and still retain a somewhat stock interior.
the rear seat must be moved up approximatly 3 inches.
and a section of floor must be removed that extends approximatly from the rearmost seat mount to a point roughly 12 inches rearward.
using this setup you have to be careful in selecting your wheel offset.
hope this helps.....if you have anymore questions feel free to email me.

Mike what width tire can you run and still tuck without hitting the 4 link bars?
