my friend bought a air bar for his s10 truck but sold the truck before he could use it and offered it to me really cheap. I want to know if i only used the 4 link on my truck would it lay frame with 20' s(frame is allready notched and i switching from juice to air) if i did not use the air bags that come in the kit and did 2600lb over the rear end
Thanks

Jason,
I know you want to help you friend, and you might be able to make the AirBar setup lay frame with alot of mods., but you will be way better off with the Roadgrater. Bar lengths are going to be different, you will have to relocate the gas tank, build a super C-notch, and redesign the bridge system. If I were you I would get the Roadgrater system, it has all that and is bolt-on.
By the time you make the AirBar work, he won' t be your friend anymore.

Is it the first generation Airbar, or the second gen (newer) setup? The big difference between the two is that the first one use 4 links, and the 2nd has a wishbone design for the upper link.
Anyway, the Airbar isnt made to lay frame, esp on 20s. However you can modify it to work, which it sounds like you were going to do anyway. If you have the 2nd gen kit then one main issue is going to be the forwarm mount for the upper wishbone link. It wraps around the gas tank crossmember and its going to get in the way of the driveshaft.
You wanna sell the old bags off the Airbar kit? Lemme know..
