I just installed A.R.T upper/ lower control arms, big red system and the roadgrater.. I now realize 20" wheels are just too big to run up front. I removed the inner fender wells to find that the tires rest on the " inner inner" fender well. this can not be cut out because you will be actually cutting into the cab of the truck. And I really dont want to see tires when I am driving.. What would be a realistic tire size to run up front? I currently have 20 x 8 on a 45 series tire. And my wheel style only comes in 17x8 or 20x8 will the 17s be to small?? I just dont want to have to buy 4 new wheels !! 18' s up front front would be perfect but I would have to get 4 new wheels! HELP.... Thanks , Trevor

On our truck we used a 235/35/18 which is approx. 24.5" tall. You should be able to get a 17 with a approx. that size.

i work with a kid whos got 20' s up front and 22' s in back on his s-dyme

granted, there was some serious work to make it clear everything... but it IS possible :) he doesnt have tire in cab, and didnt modify anything on the cab to clear it either (that i know of - because that still looks stock)

and my personal opinion is that 17' s in front and 20' s in back would look somewhat odd.. 18' s wouldnt be as bad :( too bad they dont make em!!!

Trevor, double check your upper control arms - I' ve had a couple guys get those on backwards (it' s not hard to do), and that will put the wheel toward the rear of the fender. If you can get some pics and email them to me I' ll check ' em out.

Backwards? I hope not! I will try to send a pic in the next few days. In the mean time what is something I can check to tell if they are on right?? I think they are on right. When the wheel and tires are on they look fine. would they look funny?? Like they were to far back?

The first thing you can do is double check the diagram in the instructions. If they are on backwards the center of the hub will be a pretty good distance toward the rear of the wheel opening.
