I have a 79 ford fairmont wagon (aka foxbody) Same chassis as a 79-93 mustang. Iwas wondering if I could use the mustang bolt in kits? I know the fron should be ok, but i was wondering with the extra weight over the rear axle is that gonna cause a problem?

You' ve got a rare one there...we haven' t done one in house. I can' t see any reason that our fox chassis kits won' t fit on the car. As far as the extra weight - that' s not a problem. The bag we use in that kit will lift 1760 lbs. @ 100 p.s.i.

Yeah shes a rare duck, Factory v8 and 4spd car. Ireally want to make a family cruiser that handles and rides really well, what set up would you suggest? I guess whats the major advantage of the struts/shocks?

If it were me I' d check out the CoolRide front and rear. That' s a pretty safe kit to use in the event that something is a little different from the ' stangs to your wagon (it would be easier to make any mods if necessary). And of course, a 4-way air compressor system.

Longroofs RULE!!!! I' m baggin my 68 falcon wagon and im using the " air over axle kit" just about finished and it seems to be working out great. I have leaf springs on the rear - i dont know what the fairmont has in back though... I went down to 2 springs , ( the top or main spring then took out #2 and kept the 3rd spring) I used the chop saw on the overload to keep as a spacer. Hope this helps...Michael.
