I' ve got a few questions about the RoadGrater for my 03 S10 standard cab. Will I have to shorten the driveshaft? Is there a differential bracket for my 8.5" rear end? I was also wondering if I could get polyurethane bushings for the kit. I' ve heard there have been problems with the shock tabs breaking off, has this problem been fixed yet?

About the CoolRide...I' m wanting the best handline possible, but I' m not crazy about the Shockwave because it won' t give me enough lift and the port size is too small. Which bag will give me the best handling, a 2500 or 2600? I figured you guys would know best. I' ve got Belltech 2" spindles and I plan on running your LCAs and probably UCAs in the future. I' ve got 18s with a 245/40.

I' ve been told different things, but I' m really not sure. Some say the higher pressure in the 2500 will make it ride stiffer, and others say because of the higher spring rate of the 2600 it will be stiffer. I could really care less about ride quality...handling comes first. Granted, I don' t want it to ride like a brick, but I' m sure anything will be better than what it' s like now.

You will not have to shorten the drive shaft. I do have a bracket for that axle. I agree with using the CoolRide over the Shockwave on that vehicle. Some are poly and some are rubber and that can not be changed. We have beefed up the shock bracket a little. For best handling and ride quality we have found the smaller 2500 to work best. I would consider getting the upper right away. The upper ball joint will usually bind with the strock arm. Plus it will save you a couple bucks doing it all at once.

I' ve also heard that wheelhop is a problem with he roadgrater. What can I do to fix it if I decide to use the RG?

Does the new gas tank x-member raise the gas tank? If not, what can I do to raise it?

The new x member will not raise the gas tank. You really cant move it any higher with the new ROADGRATER x member. It will set flush with the under side of the x member. Why do you want it higher?

As far as I know, wheel hop is a problem on every S10... The air suspension/four-link will allow you to " adjust it out" more than a stock leaf spring can. About the x-member, Trevor is correct.

From personal experiance I did not notice wheel hop being an issue with the RG. I did notice it need about 12 more bolts holding it on. :)

Right now, I have zero wheelhop. But when I bag the rear I' ll have to lose my hop shock.

The gas tank hangs down below the frame....The front can be moved up by redrilling the mounts higher. You can' t raise the front without raising the rear because it' ll make the rear hang down even lower. I' ve seen 1/2" billet spacers used to raise the RG crossmember. I' m not sure about doing that though because the link angles won' t be the same.

I just don' t see dragging through the gas tank being very fun!

The wheel hop does not get worse with the roadgrater installed. Thats Chevrolets fault not ART. As far as the tank issue, I have a 03 extreme with the roadgrater also. The gas tank might be below the frame but the ground effects will be on the ground, crushed before you have to worry about the tank hitting the ground.

The only time I have heard of guys complaining of wheel hop is from running too low air pressure. Ususally around 60psi works pretty good.
