2002 PT Cruiser. AirRide Struts up front. Heres the deal: every couple of months, I have to replace airline on my front struts. It would seem that my airstruts move when the car turns, causing the airline to flex. After a while the DOT airline will actually break and leak. 1.) Are the struts suppossed to move like that? 2.) Would steel braided line solve this problem? 3.) Does the steel braided kit AirRide sells have everything I need to convert from regular airline to steel braided? Thanx

where is the line breaking? right at the fittings or is it splitting along the length of the line...?

It splits along the length of the line, but right at the fitting. What about swivel fittings?

The fitting on the strut DOES move with the wheels turning, and I do beleive this is normal. How did you route the hose to the front struts. Hope you didn;' t drill a hole or anything. I snaked mine up from a rail in the front/bottom of our cars then snaked it up between the fender and the black fender liner and back out towards the top, where you can' t see it, arched over and into the strut.
The braided line kit will get you what you need to go from plastic to the strut. Just out of curiosity, is it possible that when the strut turns there' s not enough slack in the line to allow free motion?
