I have a RideProe control, and am wondering what the best way to check a sender for proper function. The reason I' m asking is that for the front right of my car, the display, normally about 55psi, gives very irratic readings,...like up to 170 sometimes. I know that the front right isn' t seeing this pressure, so the problem is in the reading. This is the second replacement sender for the front right, so I' m really concerned is that the problem might exist in my computer for the rideproe, the sender, or is it the wiring? Let me give you what I have, all the senders are mounted on the stainless bracket, the bracket is isolated from the frame with rubber, and a designated ground is run all the way to the negative side of the battery from the stainless bracket. The small black wire on the RidePro computer is also run all the way to the negative side of the battery. I soldered a small eye on the end of the wire to go to the sender. what would my reading be on the control panel if I touched a wire to a sender, and the other to ground? I' ll be reading resistance? would I read voltage or resistance to test the wires connected to the top of the senders, 4 small colored wires going to the cpu,and what would these readings be?I guess you can tell where I' m going, thanks for your time in advance.

I have had this problem and replaced 3 senders so far. Same exact problem you described. My system has the SPAL senders (gold colored) For a while I just thought it was me.
170 psi is the default on the ridepro e system when the senders crap out on you. best way to check your ridepro box is to switch the wires from the bad sending unit with one that is working and see if the problem moves on the display. If it does then the sending unit is most likely to fault. In my case the senders were replaced and problem solved.
So far it has only happened to senders on the front, wondering if the higher pressures the front takes may be busting them.

I' m using the gold colored senders also, and my problem is also front oriented. I' m going to replace it with another, but its nice to hear someone has similar problems. I tried contacting you through email on this site, but it just never goes through for some reason...wanted to know if you insulated your sender bracket and ran a dedicated ground to the battery. How about programming ride height at start,... I' d like to know if you had any problems. As far as front pressures busting the sending unit, I only run 55 up front, so I' m not real sure on that.

bad PT,
my senders are located on the stainless bracket ART provides, it is bolted to the frame of the vehicle, not isolated, but has a dedicated ground wire back to the negative side of the battery, ridepro e box also grounds back to negative side of battery. Power is run per ART instructions. I have to run around 100-110psi in the shock waves on the front of my 2004 F-150 Supercrew truck (big heavy truck) Shockwaves are giving me problems currently, but they are going back to ART to be inspected to determine the problem.
I use the ride height at start feature, and the only problem with the ride height on start feature is when a sender goes bad the ridepro e doesn' t know if it should add air or let air out due to it reading 170psi
