View Full Version : 63 impala on air
im running your cool ride kit and ride pros on my 63 impala. i would like to get the front a little lower, but the shocks are holding it up. can you recommend a shorter set of shocks for the front other than what comes with the kit ?

No thats the shortest set we offer, maybe you need a set of drop spindles.
maybe a set of those toxic shocks ? ever seen anyone useing them on an impala ?

Nah, but a shock is a shock. Just make sure it is stiff enough for all that weight and has enough travel.

I have a 59 impala and am isntalling the front shocks. The thing is I don' t know where exactly to mount the front shocks. I was wondering if you happened to have a picture of the locations or any information on where I could mount the shocks on the A-arm and frame. I would appreciate any information. Thanks

Ricardo our kit comes with pics, did you get the instructions.
Normally we would mount it directly behind the uppercontrol arm. You want to make sure to get it in as tight as possible to ensure you don' t lose much turning radius. Although I have heard of a few people having better luck mounting it in front of the control arm.

I have a 64 Impala and am looking at the cool ride setup.
Exactly how low will I be able to get the body to the ground?

The frame will be about 2-3" off the ground fully deflated. Go to the Customer Car section off the homepage and check out the gold 63, it belongs to Brian one of the other sales reps here. He has the CoolRide setup on it.
