Here’s the scenario, it was 4:00am Tue morning and I was late to work so I took the other car, but as I left to go to work, I noticed that my front passengers side was all the down. Now when I parked it the day before, I left it at 70 psi up front and 50 psi out back and I know it was fine at about 9:00pm cause I got a cd out of the glove box and I am pretty sure I would have noticed it.

Well now I am really perplexed...when I got home Tue afternoon, the whole truck was all the way aired out...I jumped in started it up and tried to air up the front...all I got was about an inch of lift and that was it...then I tried the back...same thing about an inch and that was it...aired the front out and tried to lift it again.... nothing...aired the rear out and tried to lift again.... nothing, but then comp kicked on.... (thats a good sign) after the comp turned off, tried to raise the front but got nothing, I am assuming the valves are froze, but I could hear them clicking though...(another good sign) , but I can' t get under there right now to get any heat on them cause there on the frame rail...lol...

I just can' t figure out/understand why the truck aired out all the way over an 18 hour time period...any ideas are greatly appreciated.... a little background info, been bagged for 10 months now and never had a prob/leak of any kind...It got kind of cold (28 degrees) Monday night and is still in the mid 20’s to 30’s...not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. Also, I am running the ART big red valves.... Just trying to figure out what happened. Any ideas on what to look for/do once I can get it aired up enough to get a jack under it. Who' s knows, might just be a fluke. I know it ain' t much to work with, but thought I would ask...
Thanks for any help.
Kenny

There has gotta be more than one problem. It would make sense that you lost tank pressure causing all the airspring to deflate. Tank pressure must be higher than spring pressure otherwise it will equalize. Also you pressure switch or relay would have had to froze up to cause the comp. not to kick on.
But the fact that only 1 air spring deflated at first doesn' t make any sense unless one of the valves froze closed as well. I doubt it tho....that is a lot of things to be freezing up considering you were only in the 20' s.

Thanks Darren...maybe I didn' t explain it right...after I started tyring to air it up a little and then letting all the air out, after a couple of times of doing this, the comp DID KICK ON and stayed on for a couple of minutes filling the tank. After the tank was filled and I tried to lift it up, it would only go up an inch...I' m pretty sure because the valves were froze...I understand that part, what I was tyring to understand is why it leaked out over a period of time...I think the pressure switch/comp/tank are all fine...and with the colder weather I guess it is more to do with the valves freezing and possible moisture in the system.....Are BigReds known to have issues with cold weather????
