Ok, I recently was in a car accident with my 1993 Nissan Pickup and I totalled it. A few weeks later i bought a 1987 Chevrolet Silverado (Longbox) and while the seats are very comfortable, the suspension is rough. I am totally new to basically anything automotive outside of changing minor things (plugs, oil, tires, brakes, engines, ect.) and i would really appreciate if someone could post me up on what would be the best suspension setup for me. Thanks!

We would normally get rid of the leafs on the rear and weld in a parallel 4 link. Up front I would use our CoolRide kit with the tubular Strong Arms. This will require some welding on the rear. If you give me you location I might be able to set you up with an installer in your area.

Im Lawton, Oklahoma. It' s in Southwestern Oklahoma about 45 minutes from Wichita Falls, Texas. If that helps you at all.

Duncan is definitely not too far thats about 30 minutes from me, the city isnt too bad either...do you have an estimate on what im looking at for price? im a little short on cash but i might be able to come up with something. I really just wanted to know what kinda pricing im looking at and what equipment i need for this.

Well if you are looking for the cheapest setup you could go with the Air Over Leaf kit in the back , but the 4 link is definitely the best. Also you could just use the stock arms up front.

Cool Ride $524 or with arms $999

Air Over Leaf $299
or
4 link $849

Comp. kits start out at $1099

Ok, so are they all pretty much going to function the same? I mean i dont want it to sit frame or anything, i just want the ride to smooth out and of course since im a teenager of this generation, i want it to be a little lower. However i dont want to sit so low that i scrape my skidplates on speed bumps. and i dont need it to do anything special, just ride nice, look good, and last for a long time.

The both go up and down...in that sense they function the same. But a 4 link is going to give a much better ride quality, handling, & overall performance. Sometimes after removing leafs with those airover leafs you can experience spring wrap causing wheel hop.

ok, so the 4 link is going to be much better overall...will your guy in duncan do all of the mod work and customizing for the stuff to fit right and work? if so how much do you estimate for all parts and labor from start to finish, (as in from my truck now to my truck with air?)
