I have a 03 S10 extreme with strong arms up front. My problem is that I keep breaking the bolt that attaches the sway bar to the lower control arm. I do have the linkage cut down to 1.5" as you guys reccomended but it puts way to much stress on the bolt itself. What would be a disadvantage of taking the sway bar off? I dont race the truck or drive it silly but ride quality is somewhat important. Any one have any ideas? Thanks!! TrEvOr

The sway bar won' t change you ride quality but it will effect you handling. There is definitely a problem here, I would rather fix it that eliminate the sway bar. Move the control arm through full suspension travel and watch for clearance with the tie rod.
