I saw an episode on Horsepower TV showing a before and after air ride kit on a white 97 Camaro. I was wondering exactly what parts are required to make a " kit" for the 4th Gen Camaro?

That car had a set of Shockwaves up front and a CoolRide in the rear with the ARC4000e RidePro compressor kit. It offers about an 1.5" drop at ride height and an additonal 2 or so fully deflated. Looking at about $2400 for everything.

Is it fairly bolt on? What modifications have to be done?

It' s completely bolt-on. No mods necessary.

Thanks! The installation looks easy. The only thing I wished they showed was how to plum the airlines and tank.

I put the tank, valves, comp., sending units and ECU all in the trunk down in that hole. Then drilled a hole in the bottom of the trunk and used a grommet to run the airlines underneath the car to the air springs.

That' s what I was thinking. How do you get an alignment? Also, would the suspension tuck 18" wheels?

That car had the 17" SS wheels and I could barely squeeze my finger between the tire and the inner fender well. It has Eibach' s on it before so we didn' t have to realign it, but normally you would.

it would depend on your definition of tucking the wheels as that kit will not set the rockers on the ground and your wheel offset/backspacing is what really determines wether or not you will tuck your wheels. one things for sure you won' t regret it, air ride technologies makes great equipment. i love my setup on the 91 i have.

Thinking about this again. Can someone tell me what are the model #' s of Shockwaves and CoolRide I will need? I am currently running 18x8.5" wheels with 275/35/18 rubber. Will I need an adjustable Panhard bar and Lower control arm relocation brackets to make everything work? And where is a good place to buy local to Memphis, TN?

Any of these dealers can help you.
The front is the AST1015 and the rear is ARR22400. You can use the factory ph bar and arms.
