I would like to know if a 4 link or just removing leafs would be better for a mild drop on a Supercrew. I do not want to C-notch. I would like to run basicly run at a slight lowered stance (1" to 2" drop) for normal driving, and then a more aggressive drop in " cruise" mode be able to slightly tuck 20" . I am just curious if this can be done by removing the leafs, or it would be better to go 4 link. What could be my max drop without damage to the axle?
If I am just dreaming and NEED to C-notch, just tell me... :D

You can get just the leaf springs on the back in a 2" or a 4" drop and you can get the coil springs for the front in a 2" or a 4" drop or on the front you can change the I-BEAMS in the front for the 2" or a 4" drop!!! try going to www.LMCtruck.com or try to get on djm suspensions web site they may be able to help ya in what your trying to acheive!!!!
How much room do you have between the bottom of the frame and the top of the axle? You could get a mild drop by just pulling leafs out of the pack, but you' ll need about 3" between the frame and the axle so the axle can travel upward when you hit a bump.

The truck is an 03 (01 was the first Supercrew year) I-Beams are no longer used up front on the F series.
I guess what I am trying to achieve is being able to drive around close to stock height and parking/cruising dropped. I was trying to avoid any extra welding because:
1. I wanted to do this myself
2. I am not set up to chop and weld which a c notch would need
I was more curious if I pulled leafs and added the bag what kind of range I would have. Most likely I would be going for the spring/bag up front. I am sure that eventualy I would go 4 link and c notch. Just trying to " get in" on a budget and then expand from there
Depending on how many leaves you pull out you could see about six inches of overall travel from the AiroverLeaf kit. The main thing is to pull enough leaves to set the truck on the bumpstops (keep at least two in the pack). Your travel will be limited by the leaf springs as compared to a four-link system.
Keep in mind that the truck will only go as low as the frame, bumpstops, and shocks will allow.
