I have a ' 62 bel air that had air ride on it when I purchased it. I know nothing at all about the system. It does had the big red valves? on the air tank and has a digital remote control up front. My question, is that the readings on the remote all have 172 on them, with the exeption of the left rear readout. They all read this when the compressor is on. No matter what I do to the other three corners, they all stay at 172. I would have thought these were psi readings on all corners. But they don' t ever change. Am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What do they read when the comp. is off?
You have a ground problem. Try to locate the digital sending units. There are 4 of them and they look like oil pressure sending units. They should be mounted to a stainless bracket. You will need to isolate this bracket from the frame so they can NOT get a ground. Then run a ground wire from this bracket directly to the neg. battery post.

In addition to this post I was wondering if its ok to attach the sending units directly to the valves provided the valves are not touching any metal and that theyre grounded directly to the battery.
Thanks

I wouldn' t. Sometimes it is hard to get a good ground through the anodizing.
