Air sus for an old car

Hi, I own a 67 Ford Galaxie, which I appreciate very much. It has the original, conventional suspension I and wonder if anything " air-based" would give me a smoother, softer ride. I am new on this air suspensions world, but I DO NOT want lowrides, show-cars and the like. What I want is a " magic carpet" for a peaceful, family car, for its Sunday rides. Any advice is welcomed. It is possible to do, but will require some custom fabrication since I do not make a kit for it. Looking at about $700 in suspension parts and an additional $1100 for a good compressor kit.
