My son and I have recently finished out first ever air ride install on his 88 mazda B2200. We used 4 elec valves for a front/ back system only. My question is: When we inflate the rear bags and then disconect the air line from the tank to the rear valve set, the rear bags deflate through the fill line. The valves were marked with an arrow that showed the orientation of the air flow and have checked this to make sure that it is correct and it is. Am wondering if any one else has had this problem and what to do about fixing it. Thanks![&:][8D]

This is normal with the BigReds. Mine will do the same too if I drain my tank empty. It' s not a leaky valve from what I understand, maybe it' s a fail open valve when there' s no air pressure on the valve from the supply side? That' s my only guess, but I' m sure Darren can tell you right away when he catches this post since he most likely knows how it looks on the inside. I' m just saying I believe this is normal as mine does the same, which yes I understand may not be the safest thing to get your truck home if you spring a leak or your compressor drops on the supply side of your air! It doesn' t sound like he has Big Reds. But that is how most valves work. Tank pressure is what keeps the valve normally closed.

Thanks for the response. So I understand that the tank pressure is what keeps the inflate valve closed? I have a T in the line feeding air to both the front and back at the same time. Yet, if I unplug the feed line from the tank, only the back bags deflate. The front bags stayed aired up. The valves are 1/2 inch being fed by 3/8 inch line. I think they are GC brand. They have direction arrows on them showing orientation of the valves. I' ve considered turning the rear feed valves around to see if this might solve my problem. What do you think?
