I read that the BigRed valves are optimised for 1/2" air line, but are the RidePros optimised for 3/8" air line?? Or should I just use 1/4" line for RidePro...
Thanks
Also related i think, When I look in my new BigReds there are only 3 little holes going out of the main air inlet, and the exhaust only has 1 little hole. How can this be as good as a regular style solenoid? or maybe I just need some education. I can see how one hole would make it drop slower, but why use 3/8" threads for the exhaust if the air is dumping out of a little hole the I.D. of a 1/4" line?

i' m not up on my big red knowledge since i don' t use them, BUT you can run whatever line you want. Just get a compression or PTC fitting for it. For example...3/8 ports and u run 1/2 line. Get a fittings that is 1/2-3/8 so on and so forth.

I was just reading here http://www.ridetech.com/productinfo/rideproe_techinfo.asp
It says
BigRed airvalves are the FASTEST BUBBLETIGHT airvalves available today! We have taken the superior technology of the extremely successful RidePro™ valves and created BigRed. The BigRed airvalves feature 3/8npt port size with enlarged bore for use with 1/2" lines. More air = SPEED!
What I' m looking for is some more technical type info on the RidePros. There seems to be plenty of hype/info on the newer BigReds.
I' m wondering if going from 1/4" line to 3/8" line will gain any performance on the RidePro Valves. I' m pretty sure the airflow is only as good as the smallest component. I' ve already hooked up RidePro to the front of my car with 1/4" lines and it drops plenty fast.. but I' m still toying with the idea of usig 3/8" line.

Yes 3/8" line would optimize the Ride Pro valves. However for easy of install we typically just use 1/4" . If someone is interested in speed they will get the Big Reds instead. The reason we use a smaller hole in the deflate is because the weight of the vehicle is helping push the air out. If we went to a bigger orifice on the exhaust it would be too fast and hard to set the pressures.

Thanks Darren, As I' ve learned recently, These electric Valves dump PLENTY fast, even with 1/4" line. So I don' t need to worry about that any more..
The reason I ask about the 3/8" is that I am selling my RidePro' s to use the Big Reds with 1/2" line. I want to make sure my friend will be happy with his speed, but I also don' t want him to waste money getting 3/8" line if the 1/4" is just as fast for the RidePros. So we will go ahead with the 3/8" line for him.
