Compressor ?

I went to my car today and turned on my compressors to fill my tanks. The compressors turned on and the tanks filled up to about 115psi and they would stay on but it did not go past 115, its normally supposed to fill to 160 then turn off. I thought it might be my battery or alternator but they are fine. I left it on for about a 20 minutes and it wouldn' t fill anymore. The compressors did sound a little sluggish, but they were on and working. Does anyone have any suggestions on what it could be? Thanks

Sounds like there is a leak somewhere?? Maybe this leak is not noticeable until 115 psi forces it to not keep up with the compressor??? I would check the compressor fitting, the tank lines and any plugs in the tank. Good luck.

That would have to be a fairly large leak. Maybe a bad gauge or bad pump.
