Ok, I' m helping my friend find a bag kit for his riviera, and my question is would he be better off with a shockwave or bag and relocated shock up front? Also, we heard horror stories about bags and lines blowing on these cars and the suspension bottoming out, causing serious damage to the suspension. Is that true?
If so what can be done to prevent damage to the suspension if the bag does blow?
Any help would be great thanks.

The Shockwave definitely works best on that car, relocating the shock is a little tricky.
We always modify the factory bumpstop (or use new ones) so you can still steer the vehicle if something would happen. Especially with the Shockwave, it needs a external bumpstop.

How much lift and drop would the shockwave give the riviera. would I be alright with regulare bags in the rear (not shockwaves)? Also how tricky is it to relocate the shock if I go with the cool ride?

The Shockwave will give you about 4-4.5 in. of travel, about 1.5-2" less than the CoolRide. Relocating that shock is a real pain on that car, it is totally worth springing the extra $300 for the Shockwave. And to put the Shockwaves in the rear you would have to make your own mounts, I would just use the CoolRide.
