I guess I' m just used to my old cool ride setup, where I only needed 70-80 psi in the front to achieve ride height - now with the new Shockwaves I need about 110 psi to get that same height. Is this a safe psi to run? I' ve heard stories about some guys blowing out their Shockwaves b/c they were running too much air. What psi do you guys run around town with? I imagine I could run a 2" top stud instead of a 1" stud if I needed to bring down this number...

Thanks,
Eric

What type of vehicle is it? The Shockwave will typically take a bit more pressure, since it has a little less volume. But that is quite a bit. Too much air pressure will not hurt it, however driving the Shockwave topped out or close to it will. If you have 5" of total travel you would want to drive it 3" up from fully deflated.

It' s a 63' Belair Wagon. I have 7" total travel in the front, ride height is somewhere around 3.5 - 4.0" from bottomed out, I' ll have to measure exactly when I get home. It just seems that the vehicle doesn' t even begin to lift until there' s at least about 50 psi. I' ll play around with the mounting holes on the lower arm this weekend to see how that affects it...

Thanks Darren,
Eric

110psi is about right on that car. Do not move the lower mount. There is only one hole that is the right size. The other hole are for appearance and to reduce weight.

different bags take different PSI at ride height. I can ride my slam 2600s at 45-50psi for ride height. The shockwave is a lot different then a 2500 or 2600 bag. It has the shock built in and assumably that takes up some space. I' m not to smart with the shockwave design and everything. Personally if u want to get low i' d suggest a bags and cup setup. A shockwave to me is just to sit it down. Not to get low like on the ground low. On the other hand the shockwave is fantastic because it has the shock built in it. So u get a killer ride with the same turning radius. You' ll always hear people blowing bags/line/etc... that' s because not every part is 100% perfect. That' s impossible. There may be a bad line or bag or something. You just can' t take beleive everything you read. If someone abuses there air ride it' ll break. Or if it' s not installed correctly it' ll break.
