70 mustang exhaust

I have been looking at different rear suspension for my 70 mach 1. The one question I have about air rides rear air bar is the routing of the exhaust. Can the exhaust be run over the rear axel and out in the stock location? All the pictures I see show the exhaust routing under the rear axel. I would like to run a 2 ½’’ exhaust over the rear axel if possible. Can this be done?

It might be possible, but not very easy at all. The thing is, when the axle is at full droop the muffler outlet is about even with the axle. So it only makes sense to go under the axle.
