I have a pair of shockwave 9001 and ART suggests a ride height of 13 inches. How is this measurement made? Is it from the top of the eye to the bottom of the eye? Or is it center of the eye to center of eye?

Regarding ride height, does it hurt if the height is a half inch higher or lower? If it does hurt the shockwave to be higher or lower, what actually does it hurt?

These answers I need so I can correctly get the ride height set on my Buick T-type/GN. This car I am placing the shockwaves on, also sees the drag strip every once in awhile. Would making the shock stiffer by turning the knob all I would need to do to give me a better bite in traction? What about ride height? Would I just leave it at 13 inches?

Regarding the front shockwaves. I' ll be using the shockwave 1000 with the 10.75 inch ride with the 1.15 inch stud on the front with stock a-arms. Can you tell me if this setup that I just described will give me the stock ride height that I am at now or will it be lower? If it is lower, can you give me an idea of how much?

I appreciate any help you can give...

Ride height will be measured from center eye to center eye or top where the lower bushing meets with the stud top. You can fluctuate these measurements 1/2" either way.

That front Shockwave should be pretty close to factory.
