oh, forgot that....its a 71 a-body front setup. i dont think i could use the lower arm setup because i have hotchkiss uppers with b-body spindles which require those oddball lower balljoints to be put in

We use the factory ball joint, so your ball joint will work in the factory arm it should work in ours. The only problem with using the factory arm it that the ride height won' t be much lower than factory.

ok. what is the part number for the shockwave unit, do u have the compressed height on it, and #3 , are u saying that your lower arm is a drop unit? thanx

Yes, the lower arm has a drop built into it. If you order the SKW1018 it will have a T-bar on the bottom and stud up top. Fully collasped will be 9 1/4" from the center of the T-bar up to the bottom of the lower poly bushing.

something to think about---thanx darren. hey a while back i questioned u about droppin the rear of my a-body lower and what i did was cut and reweld the lower spring perches on the rear about 1 1/2in. worked good, bag still lines up with an overall lower drop, plus an overall lower max height. jus lettin everone know!

tell u the truth, i cut it right after mufflers ,because i pulled the entire rear out and rebuilt it. but with 2.5in pipes, its gonna be real tight. might have to step down to 2 1/4 or turnouts. see in next couple months. gotta finish the front shockwaves too.prob gonna go with complete kit like u said, and rig up lower balljoints. could see my car at CKPERFORMANCE.com. its a green 71 in the pics section
