Has anyone ever bypassed a tank and gone straight into the airbags, is this possible? I’m looking to put a setup on my 64 impala convertible and was wondering if this would work. I want something simple that I can hide so it appears to be stock. How long would it take to lift the car and how much travel would this give me? I don’t really car about lift time just want to get clearance to be able to drive onto a trailer or over speed bumps etc…if anyone has done this or has some suggestions let me know thanks…..

Each air spring is going to require a different air pressure. Plus the valves require tank pressure to work properly.

it CAN be done, but you won' t be able to adjust it at all. Once you dump the air out you' re. I' ve moved trucks i' ve working by just filling up the bags but to drive on it. I wouldn' t at all. All it takes is 1 small small leak anywhere and you' re stranded. If you want it to appear stock you can hide the tank and compressor(s) someplace. Perhaps in the trunk in the back and make a panel to block. Or perhaps in the spare tire area you can mount something. Or cut out part of the floor of the trunk and make a new one sunk down so when you open the trunk you see a stock floor not the air system.
