After a bit of advice on the Shockwave 7000. I am using them in a Jag IRS setup (two per side). My question is on the bump stops.

I know that they should never be used without bump stops while in motion as the internal stops will be damaged. But is it ok to let them rest on their internal stops when stationary?

Also are they not made so that the shock tops out before the bag over extends? or do I need to have straps to limit extension?

Its does not look to be straight forward to get either external bumpstops or straps on my config.

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

The internal stops will be sufficient. Yes, the shock absorber inside the air spring will keep it from overextending.

Thanks Darren,

That makes life a lot easier and it will all look a lot neater too.
