ok im installing the airbar in my camaro. it says ride hight should be 14.5 center to center on the shock wave. does that mean from center of eye to center of bottom eye.

also im trying to center the axle. i dropped a plum of the rear quarters but the lower bars for the airbar dont give me enough movement to get the axle centered. im off by about 3/4 of a inch. im guessing this is more a rear quarter problem than anything. so should i use the rear frame rails for refrence instead.

Measure it from center to center of both eyes. If you think it is the quarters then use the frame rails.

You can cheat it a bit. You only need to move it 3/8" to center it. The bushing can take some misalignment. I just hate having more gap on one side that the other. The tolerances when building cars back then were rather sloppy; hence the invention of the wheel spacer.

Jeremy, doesn' t your stock 67 Camaro have a 1/4" spacer on the passenger side?

ive talk to other camro owners and most do sem to be of center any where from 1/4 to 3/4. but im new to this so figured id double check.

also while i have you guys any way i can get the wheel specs on you 71 camaro. or i should say the back spacing you used.

I have a 73 Trans Am I am in the middle of restoring, and mine was off by 1/2 inch. After the tires are on, not real noticable, but I will use a wheel spacer later if need be.
