Hi I was wondering if anyone has done an air setup on my style of car, be it a 1954 chevy or pontiac. If so what should I use?

Not for the OEM suspension. Are you going to use an aftermarket front clip?

I wasn' t planning on it, I was hoping I could put airbags in on the original setup. Is that ok? or is there something I should be doing instead?(i am new, so bare with me) I have a pretty small budget aswell.
Thanks
Mark

Matt,
It' s possible to put bags on anything, but on that car the coilspring pockets are so small that you would have to cut out a ton to get the bags in. By the time you do that you could have had a Mustang II front clip in that also has disc brakes and way better steering components.
I would check out Fatmans, Heidts, TCI, Scotts, or someone like that for a front clip.

HMMM, thanks i will look into that, what would I need for the rear end?
Is swapping a front clip in pretty tough?
when you say there isn' t alot of room, do you mean there is a sleave over the coils that exist in it now?
Is there a setup that I can get for the front end that I could also use after I swap in a front clip?
Is mustang the best option?(i assume they are pretty standard from what I see around)
sorry there are so many questions but your forum is the only place where I have found descent answers so far.

The best setup for the rear would be a 4 link. Changing the front clip can be a little tough depending on what is available for that car. If you call one of the manufacturers they could probably tell you more than I can.
Mustang II is the most popular option because it works well and everyone makes products for it, I would use that.
