Just got the cover for my airpod and was wondering where the screws that came with it go? There are not any holes in the airpod base, were there supposed to be or am I supposed to drill them? Going to hinge the cover to display inside for shows but need two holes in base to latch

As your unit was one of the first, they may have forgotten the holes. There should be 4 holes drilled into the side of the base into which the 4 black screws are inserted. The cover is slotted, so you can start the screws on the bench, install the AirPod, install the cover, then tighten the screws.

If you'd like use the cover as we intended simply place the cover over the base, mark the base where the slots are, and drill 4 holes in the middle of the base with a 3/32" drill bit(or something very close if you do not have 3/32nd).

If you'd like to modify the unit to suit your application, that is perfectly fine by me. I only ask that you take pics and send them to britt@ridetech.com so I can see what people are doing, and what they like. Who knows, maybe your idea will become "standard" on our next project.
