Here is more information for those shocks. I kind of plagarized, but oh well.

Rear Nitro-Active Monotube 4 to 8 Inch Drop Shock

Drive Type: 2WD

Belltech' s top of the line shock absorber features a monotube design and high-pressure nitrogen gas designed to keep you truck glued to the ground. The monotube design and high-pressure gas virtually eliminate the problem of performance fade due to aeration and foaming, a common problem with shocks that allow air to mix with fluid. Polyurethane end bushings, seamless eye rings and hard-chromed piston rods are just some of the extreme features that separate Nitro-Active from the competition. These shocks are ideal for use with modern radial tires and performance wheels (standard or larger rim diameters) used on heavy-duty factory or performance aftermarket suspensions.

Heavy-Duty Monotube Design

Polyurethane End Bushings

Seamless Eye-Rings

Hard Chromed Piston Rods

High Quality Construction

Installation: Installs exactly like a stock shock polyurethane bushings are included.

Tech Notes: Each shock is sold seperately, be sure to order two front and two rear for a complete set of four.

Those shocks are not designed " to" lower a vehicle, they are designed " for" lowered vehicles. The only difference is they are shorter.
Keep in mind that shocks do not hold the vehicle up they only slow the motion of the suspension.

You could possible look into using an AirOver Leaf kit but the towing capacity will not be as good.
