what is controlling the compressor? Do you have a RideProE2/LevelPro control system, or a simple pressure switch?

5 gal, viair 480c, slamspec re6 front, 3/8 lines, standard pressure switch, asco valves.
after full 5gal @175 will lift car one time, then back down will not come up untill tank back at 175psi

well, as we don't sell any of those parts I'm not familiar enough with them to provide specifics directly pertaining to those items.
However, I can tell you the front is experiencing one of a few possible issues (remember it may be a combination of these)
1-Suspension bind
-don’t over tighten the control arm bolts
-make sure the suspension can move freely through its full travel
2-Bag installed height
-make sure the bag is installed at it’s proper working height
-if you are trying to raise the vehicle beyond the working height it takes more pressure
3-If the system is installed properly it’s all about how much weight the air spring can lift and the motion ratio it is working under:
-If the air spring is not rated to lift the weight of the vehicle, it won't lift it
-motion ratio of suspension. If the motion ratio makes the car heavier than what the air spring can lift, it won't lift the car. Example: if the motion ratio is 2:1 the air spring actually has to lift twice the weight of the front end. So if the front of the car weighs 1000lbs, and the air springs are installed at 2:1, the actual weight on the air springs is 2000lbs. Divide this by two air springs, and each air spring must lift 1000lbs.
Compressor always running
-check the wiring of the pressure switch. It is intended to close the circuit when the compressor is turned on, and breaks the circuit when the pressure is high enough.
-again, without knowing the parts I cannot provide specific instructions
