A customer is looking to bag his '55. I've got a couple of questions concerning the direction he wants to go.

Doing an engine swap to a 502ci. We are looking to put the CoolRide system up front to gain a little more travel. Am I going to be going through any weight issues?

I've got a "mini-trucker" in the shop trying to talk him into a notch and custom 4-link but I'd like to get some specs on the ABAR20350 and ABAR20300, since I'm not quite sure which one we'll need. He wants 20's all the way around so I'd like to know what you had on your '55 and how low I'd be looking at with either of these systems.

Also like to know what you considered ride height for the front and rear.

Ride height with the front CoolRide is about 2" lower than factory. We normally use drop spindles, but with 20's with the drop spindles you may have to modify the inner fender wells. The 502 won't hurt anything, it has plenty of extra load capacity.

What dimensions do you need on the airbar? To determine if you have a one piece frame or two piece frame just look at the bottom of the frame rail. If it has a weld seem it is a two piece. If it is smooth it is a one piece. Ride height in the back is around a 3" drop. Here is a couple images of our 56, ride height and deflated. It doesn't have much for wheels on it tho....

We will be switching the rear-end out for a Ford 9" and I don't see that as being a problem, but I'm trying to figure out how much fabrication will be needed if we decide to install the AirBar. From the pictures it seems like there won't be much metal work but any picture can be deciving.

Minus welding the brackets to the axle it is virtually bolt on. Should work fine with the 9".
