I am wanting to put a air ride system on my 01 tahoe. I have torsion bars as of right now. Do I take those off when I put bags on or leave them on? I don't mean during installation but after completion. I want to do a full bag kit, I want to lay on the ground, I know I have to cut the wheel wells. Please help if possiable.

I have a Shockwave kit that will bolt in place of the factory shocks. The torsion bars will be removed during installation. I also have a CoolRide kit for the back which is also bolt on. These kit will give you about a 6" drop fully deflated. But these kits will not lay frame. To get the front down you will have to install drop spindles. The rear is where you will run into major problems tho. Due to suspension design and clearance issues, to lay frame you would have to cut all of the suspension off and start over.

so after the bags are installed the torion bars are re-installed? I don't realy care if its bolt on stuff. I already did a weld on kit for a S-10 and I was thinking about doing the same for this. I already bought my bags for the rear from a place in Red Wood city, CA. I think its a actual air ride tech. shop.

The torsion bars will not be re installed. Throw them in the trash. :)
