I have already done a few mods, new front bumpers , rool pan, and shaving the tail gate but it still needs to be lowered. What is your ultimate goal when you are bagging the truck?

You can do a lot with that truck. From simply using your stock a-arms and adding bags, to bolting on new upper and lower control arms, Shockwaves, and 4-link rear.

Just give us a call and we'll discuss your options. (812-481-4787)

Here's link to the page with all the items available for that truck:
http://www.ridetech.com/catalog/Chevrolet_C1500_1_2ton_P_U_2WD_1988_1998-931-1.html

I suggest a Street Challenge package as you get everything, AirBar- w/c-notch, double adjustable aluminum shocks, LevelPro 4 way w/dual comp. and a 5 gal. tank, MUSCLEbars (front and rear), StrongArms (Upper & Lower).

Our catalog actually contains a lot of general information about air springs and suspensions. You can request one here:

This forum also has some great info regarding all sorts of air suspension topics. If you can't find what you are looking for, just ask.

So I did some research and I hear some people say that air suspension isn't good for the daily driver only for show trucks I read the track test page and they seem to be an improvement over factory but how do they stand up over time in normal daily driving

Next time you find yourself cruising down the interstate in a half-asleep, bored as hell trance, look over at the tractor/trailer you are passing. See the suspension under that truck? Any idea how many miles that truck sees a year?

Firestone rates the rubber in the air spring around 40 years and have performed many tests in the tens-of-millions of cycles. The bags will outlast the vehicle in which they are installed (if they are installed correctly). Should the air spring rub on anything, it will cut a hole in the bag in a matter if minutes.

Our company owns over 30 air suspended vehicles. Many are development/test vehicles and many are daily drivers. Air suspension got a bad rep early on due to improper installation and/or impropper air spring selection. We've done all the homework for you. We provide the best components (Firestone, Parker, SMC, etc. all of which are used in commercial applications). Have no fear, a daily driver on air is just as reliable as any other option.

...air suspension isn't good for the daily driver only for show trucks...

My T/A's a daily driver, over 60 miles a day in whatever weather Indiana throws at us. I drive in weather that makes some 4wd people stay home. I've had full air suspension for going on 2 years now. Love it. The f-body isn't known for having a cooshy stock suspension, the air is a DEFINITE improvement.

daren, take a look under the cover of your AirPod. You'll see Parker on the RidePro valves (they make the coils) ,SMC supplies the air line (with our name printed on it, of course). You'll also see that the compressor is a Thomas unit (Thomas compressors are used in everything from military vehicles to the latest civilian version Hummer).

Ok so on my truck a 94 Chevy 1500 what is a good estimate on how long it should take a profesional shop to install a complete street kit if if there or no problems

Quoting the install can be very difficult. That depends on how efficient someone can work, shop rate, quality of work. On average tho, I would guess around 40-50 hrs.

I have a 2005 Silverado extended cab with an 8 foot bed. I installed the rear airbar and the front coolride setup. Without adding the time to do the extra modifications for my application it took about 6 hours to install the front suspension. The rear took me about 20 hours to install. The inflation kit took about another 10 hours to install. I have had it on the truck since 09/05 and have put over 40K on it. Other than having some freezing issues below 15 degrees with the valves and the pressure switch it has been flawless. I have taken the truck towing a trailer from Mass. to Florida twice. Best riding truck I have ever been in. Rides like a cadillac on the highway.
