Hey everyone...My first post of many, to be sure. I am planning to install a front & rear universal kit on my '67 Cougar, and would like to know if anyone has done or has info on how to do this successfully. The more detailed you are, the better.

The front suspension is actually very similar to the Mustang. The design makes it very difficult to relocate the shock, so we designed a Shockwave for it. I would just use Shockwave for the Mustang.

For the rear you could just pull a couple leafs out and put an air spring between the leaf and the frame.

Hey Darren, thanks for the info. Will I need any other accessories for the rear, and will I achieve the same level of performance with the air over leaf as I would with an Airbar four-link?

No, the AirBar will handle a lot better than the air over leaf. But we have never installed it on a Cougar. I had one customer use it on a cougar and he said that it fit. All he had to do was make a custom length lower bar.

Okay, thanks Darren. I'll either use the Air4link or the Airbar. Thanks again for your help.

That's probably what I would do....

What about the rubber bushings? Do you have deflection issues with them, and are they a common size for ease of replacement?
