So I have a 61 Belair hardtop with 20x8s in the front and 22x10s in the rear. i just purchased the street challenge setup for my car with the airpod and disc brakes for all 4 corners and 2 inch drop spindles in the front. I am wondering if anyone knows if i am going to run into any clearance issues in the rear and if i am going to have to do some work on my wheel wells. i currently rub a little in the rear driver side. My tire barely hits the lower spring perch as is, but i think i will be removing this with my new kit.
thanks

I installed a kit on a 64 Imapala w/ 22's and was fine height wise. I'm not sure about width though. The 61 fender wells may be different too....
Tony might know, he has a 61.

that is why i wnt with only 10' wide in the rear to be on the safe side in hopes i don't have to cut anything. Do you have any pics of the 64 so i can get an idea of ride hieght?

It was an Overhaulin car. 20's up front and 22's in the back. Stock height spindles, stock inner fenders.

Whats up...
My first post here.
Tuckin22, I'm also thinking of running 20/22 set on my belair. Keep us posted on how its working out for you.
I just ordered a Disc conversion W/spindles and I'm running stock arms in front and strong arms in the rear All Air Ride stuff of course. Tire size probably wil bw 245/35 Front 265/35 Rear. I was wondering how low it wil sit before hitting the front/rear inners.

Darren
I guess the link to the impala W/20-22s is shot.
Anywhere else you think I might be able to find a pic?
Just want to get an idea of how my car might sit.
Thanks!

Nevermind, found other cars with the same setup.
Definitely have to modify the front inners if you want to lay x-member. From what I can tell/read the rear wheel hits the filler door housing if you want it as low the kit will let it.

The drive shaft will also hit the floor pan if you want to lay it out.
