Hey guys/gals,
My name is Josh and I was wondering if the airbar for the 2002-2006 Dodge Ram 1500 fit on my 04 dodge ram 1500 4x4? I only ask because some kits have problems with the 4x4's. I understand that the Coolride Front w/ control arms wont fit because there is no springs on the front of the 4x4's. But, if someone could please answer this for me that would be awesome!

Sincerely,

P.S. What is adjustable about the Aluminum single or double shocks that are available as an add on to the package? And are they worth it?

the adjustable aluminum shocks come in two flavors:
single adjustable: allows you to adjust the rebound
double adjustable: which allows you to adjust the rebound and compression independently

The adjustable dampers allow you to further tune the suspension for the quality you desire. As an example, we drive our cars to track events. When on the road I like to take a lot of the damping out of the shocks so the vehicle tends to "float" more providing a soft ride. When we get to the event I crank up the shocks making the vehicle very stiff. On a course I want a very stiff vehicle, but I dont' want to drive 4 or 5 hours on the road with a suspension that stiff. It's very uncomfortable. Adjustable shocks provide the best of both worlds.

I ran the single adjustables for awhile on the back of my T/A and there was a definite improvement over the stock shocks; later switched to double adjustables and couldn't believe the difference. The ride has improved 110% since I was able to bump the compression up a bit. Either one was better than the stockers, but I won't go with anything other than the doubles now that I know what I was missing.

Plus, the billet adjustables are all hand-built right here at ART and individually dyno tested to ensure quality and compatibility. :)

I assume that the rear of the truck is the same, but don't know for sure. This kit will give you about a 4" drop at ride height.

Thanks for your help guys! Is there authorized in the MD area maybe where I could go see some of the stuff your company produces? Again thank you for all the info, I will go out and look under the truck and see what differences if any there are. The only thing I am worried about is on the 4x4's there is a torsion bar front suspension and on the 2x4 its a spring. Can the adjustable shocks be used without the Rear air bar?
Peace,
Josh

My front kit for the 2wd truck will definitely not work on that truck. The adjustable shocks will work on anything tho. Just give us some a comp. and ext. dimensions along with mounting styles.
