View Full Version : No lift

I just plumbed my ride pro valves to an air tank and the shockwaves on my c1500 truck. I let the 5gallon air tank fill up until the compressor turned off. When I hit the switch for my valves to inflate the bags I can hear the air for a second but I get no lift. I held the switch down for a good 5 minutes and still no lift. What could be the problem?

is the vehicle running? you need proper voltage to the valves, so if you let the compressors run without the engine running the battery may have been drained enough that the valves are no longer functioning.
What is the pressure in the bags after you push the inflate button and it stops moving?
Do the compressors turn on again?

I did have the truck running so the battery wouldn't drain. I don't have my digital gauges wired up yet so I'm not sure what psi it had. The compressor did turn on again. Previous to the ridepro valves I had schrader valves and the bags lifted fine once I put air to them.

the only affect valves have on lift is if they do not open. The tank pressure could be a problem: if your bags take 130psi to get to ride height, and you only have 150 psi in the tank you'll have to deplete the tank once, then wait for it to fill again before it will lift the vehicle.
Hook up the gauges and let me know what pressure it reads.
Did you remove the control arms? If you did, and you overtightened the bolts it could be a suspension bind that is limiting suspension travel.

Feel the air spring. Does it get hard like it is filling with air? Could be a kinked lines. How much pressure is in the tank?
