I'm looking to install a CoolRide kit on the front end of my 1997 2wd Expedition. It's currently lowered with some coil springs and the shock length at ride height measures 15". Being that the shock runs through the center of the coil spring, will the air spring in the CoolRide kit (ARF5005) be a good match for the 15" ride height? Also what length Aluminum shock will be provided in this kit?
Can the CoolRide kit use an Inflation Kit (AIRKIT-STR or AIRKIT-INF-STR)? What are the differences between the two (valved vs. fitting)?
I'm ready to pull the trigger on an order - just need clarification that this kit will work at the desired ride height I am currently running at.
Thanks,
Kevin

The CoolRide kit does not utilize the factory shock mounts. Ride height will be about 3" lower than factory. It will come standard with Monroe steel body shocks, but can be upgraded to the billet adjustable shocks. That shock will be 10" compressed and 14" extended.
The INF kit will include 2 schrader valves to inflate each air spring independently, the other kit has a T with one schrader. I would use 2 schraders.

Darren, with my truck already lowered more than 3", what kind of problems am I asking for if I went with the CoolRide setup and set the airsprings to a lower inflation rate? Would it be wiser for me to build an air spring that is custom to the ride specs I need to maintain the current stance?
With this, I would obviously need to purchase a proper length shock, once those dimensions are established.
Are the A-arm plates and shock relocation brackets from the CoolRide kit available for purchase individually?

If you want to drive it lower than the 3" lower ride height you would have to use a drop spindle.

The brackets can not be purchased individually.
