When installing a tri 4link isnt it easiest to weld it all in and then remove the leafs (being my truck is already at what i want my ride height to be)

Clynt, that is a really good way of locating the axle, but you still want to make sure the axle is centered and you will probably want to adjust the pinion angle some.
Now you will not be able to use the triangulated 4 link without switching over to a 9" rearend. The problem lies in the width of the frame rails. To get enought angle on the upper bars to control lateral movement you must weld the upper bar mount directly to the center section, and the GM corporate axle in it is cast and you can not weld to it.
Normally on that truck we will just use the parallel 4 link.

Is that just arts tri link because i have seen many trucks my model run tri links. If i do have to use a 9" rearend for all tri links where do i start looking for one. Is it common to find one in a wrecking yard...what did they commonly come out of? Thanks, clynt

Yea, you could get one out of about any older Ford car or truck.
You could put one on with the axle you got but you will have to weld directly to the tube. To accomplish that you will either have to shorten the bar length or change the angle. Shortening the length of the bar will cause pinion angle to change through travel, and changing the angle alot can reduce lateral stability.
Also for a 9" try Moser Engineering.
