i have a relay that comes with the kit but it says the yellow wire should be live and its not. The red wire(whichi would imagime was power) is live instead. Will the pressure switch still turn on and off? I dont want to short anything out. All the help is greatly appreciated. :)

the relay is a simple switch. Here's how it works:
pins 85 and 86 are the positive and negative for a magnetic coil (electro magnet). Pins 87 and 30 are the input/output for the "switch".
When the relay is off the magnet is not energized, so pins 87 and 30 are not touching.
When the relay is on the magnet is energized the magnet pulls a lever arm and pins 87 and 30 touch, completing the circuit. Here's a diagram: http://www.the12volt.com/relays/relays.asp
So to answer your question, it does not matter which wire (red or yellow) is live. When the relay turns on both wires will be live.

yes.
The realy does not care where the power comes from (red or yellow wire). Just like your light switch does not care what side of the switch the light is on.
