Couple of questions related to my 69 Impala. I am debating going with a full airride suspension but I want to make sure it is worth while.

Looking at the image gallery, the 68 Bonneville is very similar to my car and I love the look of it. Was this done with only airride or are there drop spindles too? And were there any areas that had to be cleared for the tires?

Next question is how do the rear bags attach to the control arms? I am debating going with Hotchkis control arms but I am not sure how they will attach. My other option is to go with the strong arms but I am wondering how they compare to Hotchkis?

My overall plan for the car is not to make it an autocross car or a pavement scraper. I just want something that has improved handling and a nice low stance that I can raise if the conditions require it. I am thinking either 18" rims all the way around or 18" front 20" rear.

Thanks for all your thoughts and for reading this novel. I have attached a picture so you can get an idea of what I am starting with.

You can expect a stance just like the Pontiac you saw without dropped spindles. The bag on the rear will mount on the control arm just like the factory coil spring did. We do offer tubular rear arms as well as tubular front control arms if you wish to upgrade those also. Give us a call and we can get a quote together for you. Brian

Thanks for the replies.

Are there any larger pictures of the 66 Impala? Is that picture ride height or resting height?

Will I need to do any modifications to the wheel wells for better clearance?

Thanks again,
Dennis

That picture is the car deflated. You should not need to worry about tire rubbing on that car.

As long as you are not running anything bigger than 20's you should be fine. Make sure you have the proper backspacing as well.
