Hey guys, I noticed you are using smaller tires in the back, why was that? Was it just preference,or will I also have to do that on my Chevelle if I want to go 17's? Also, what's the width on the rims you are using?
BF Goodrich G-Force T/A Tires 225/45/17 front - 275/40/17 rear
Thanks!

What do you mean smaller tire in the back? All of our A bodies are using 245/40/18 up front and 275/40/18 in the rear. Maybe a misprint somewhere?

Hey Darren, I guess it must be a misprint, I got it from your "Rides" section description for your 66 Chevelle. I love how that car handles and am trying to do everything I can to make my Chevelle run like that!
It states that you are running: BF Goodrich G-Force T/A Tires 225/45/17 front - 275/40/17 rear.
So you are running 40's all around not 45's in front.. and you are using 18's not 17?

That may be actually be accurate on that car, not sure. A 225/45/17 tire is about 24.97" tall. A275/40/17 is about 25.66" tall. So the rear wheel is actually taller even though the aspect ratio is lower. The 40 is the aspect ratio. It actually means the the side wall height is 40 percent of the width. B

That car does have 17's on it.....but the Goodguys Chevelle, my Chevelle and the boss's GSX all have 18's on them.
