Just finished putting air system in and the front has a small leak.

My air lines that go to the manifold come in at some angle and there is a bit of pressure at the fittings but not much. Do the air lines have to be free from touching anything. How do you check for an air leak? All 4 are plumed the same but just the front have a small leak. Should these hold air for days with out leaking?

thanks

You need to make sure that the air lines do not rub on anything. Use a grommet where you bring them into your car through the sheet metal. Fill a spray bottle with some dish soap and water, raise your system, and spray it on all of your fitting, watch for bubbles. This will show you where your leaks are at. Most common leaks occur at the fittings, make sure you have thread sealer on all of the threads and that your air lines are cut square and pushed in all of the way.

You have a 4 way system correct?
Do both front bags leak at the same rate?

If so, it could be a leak on the supply side of the system. The valves require tank pressure to keep them closed. If tank pressure drops below air spring pressure, they will equalize. The fronts springs normally require more pressure, which is why the would drop first.

All of the fittings are DOT approved and willl seal very well. Should stay up for months at a time if not forever.
