My father just recently purchased a 1936 Plymouth Deluxe 4 Door Sedan that has been upgraded to the Mustang II frontend, the car has a lowered stance but the rear tires will rub the rear fenders once any real amount of weight is added, We are looking into adding Air Ride to the car, what different options are there? We love the lowered stance it has now but with my fathers bad back and the problem with the weight when you have with passenger's, the ride quality is horrible. Any Help would be great.

Does it have factory upper and lower arms or tubular?
Do you want to keep the leafs or convert to a 4 link? The 4 link will ride and handle much better than the leafs.

It has factory uppers and lowers. On the rear end, i would like to hear about both options, we talked about keeping the rear leafs, but then again we talked about switching to a four link.

For the front I would recommend using our Shockwave w/ my lower StrongArms. The shockwaves will not work with the facotory lower arm. If you want to use the factory lower arm then you could install the Coolride kit, but that requires you to relocate the shocks, and weld the shock mounts to the frame.

The AirOverLeaf sytems work pretty good, but they lack on the performance side. To get the car low with the leafs you must remove a few leafs. This can allow more spring wrap and lateral axle movement. Which is not such a big deal on a cruiser, but can lead to wheel hop and sloppy handling. Which is why I recommend the 4 link. The 4 link also offers much better geometry for improved traction and a little better ride qualtiy since all of the weight of the car is on the air spring.

The AOL system will come with the fittings for the top of the bag, but you will still need the comp., gauges, etc.
